For adding new born baby with sponsorship application (during process)

Hi all,my baby was born last week how will I add new born baby with sponsorship application during process (status is application Received)?Which application forms I have to fill up and send to visa office?Need to send application to Mississauga office as well? Would you please let me know anybody.I will be grateful to you for your kind information.

Hello, congrats on the new baby!

If one parent is a Canadian citizen already then the baby will automatically be Canadian as well. You can notify the visa office of the birth but you will not need to add him or her to the application. You will need to apply for a birth certificate and Canadian passport so when your spouse gets approved the baby will be allowed to travel as well.

even though you will not need to add the baby to the application to be sponsored (Assuming the baby is a canadian citizen), you will need to add the baby to your additional family information form (IMM5406). they may request the canadian citizenship certificate as well. if the baby is NOT a canadian citizen, then it needs to be added to the application as an accompanying dependant. Contact your visa office and they will confirm what forms need to be updated.

citizen must be born in Canada then hia or her kids will automitcally Canadian but if A Canadian citizen is 2nd genration and born out side Canada then his or her kids will not Canadian citizen on birth.

You may want to clarify your post a bit more. It is a little confusing.

Canadians (born in Canada) and Naturalized Canadians (PRs who acquired citizenship) can pass citizenship to their children born outside Canada.

Those born outside Canada who acquired Canadian citizenship by descent cannot pass on their citizenship to their children.

I called today to cic Mississauga,asked them how I add new born baby with my sponsorship application and also explained my situation and then sent some application forms but I am confused about that because I am the Permanent Resident in canada.cic email is shown below....

Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request:

Add-on - Application to sponsor a member of the family class - Spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child

A family member* of the principal applicant could be added at a later date, even if he was listed as non-accompanying dependant in the initial application. However, it is impossible to add a family member to an application if the final decision has been made.

To add a person to the application, you have to download, fill out, validate and print the following forms** from our website and send it to the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Mississauga, Ontario:

A new Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking form (IMM 1344) completed by the sponsor,
A new Generic Application Form for Canada form (IMM 0008) form (IMM 0008) with supporting documents, if you are adding a family member who is inside Canada and the application is still in process at the CPC in Mississauga, Ontario,
and

The add-on request including:
your client ID number/UCI,
a letter of explanation,
a copy of the birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship, and
the proof of payment.
You must write ADD-ON on the forms and on the envelope. If you want proof that your application was received, we suggest that you use registered mail with Canada Post or a courier service such as Purolator, UPS, FedEx, etc.

*A family member is a spouse, common-law partner, dependent child or dependent child of a dependent child.
**If the newly created family member is a child born in Canada, only the add-on request is required.

What does it mean by last line?I am PR in Canada and my wife is living outside Canada.Plz anybody explain who faced this case or who is expert plz plz?

Hello Saimsaim, if I wrong spelled or called u another name pls forgive me.

I need your experience for this matter; I am in Canada, applied PR and my application is in process, the same the application of my family is in process along. Now, I have new baby born.
What am I suppose to do? what is the procedure of adding new baby born? Do I have to contact the processing office here in Canada, or my family to contact the Embassy of back home Kenya?

Please, I am really in need your experiences and pieces of advice.
