Dears,

I have a Canadian student visa & i'm planning to reach Canada using a flight that has a transit in Europe or UK, do i need Schengen for transit? Noting that i will not leave the airport?

Please advise

I hold a Yemeni passport
You will need to check with the consulate of the country you have a transit.

For example, you will need a Direct Airside Transit visa if you transit through the UK.

However, if your onward flight to Canada is not on the same day... or you must leave the airport to stay in a transit hotel... or your onward flight is from a different airport then you will need a Standard Visitor Visa

I am surprised. Given the current situation in Yemen it would be pretty hard to prove that you will return to Yemen or if you live elsewhere that you have strong ties to Yemen. You must have had a very strong application because I would assume that anyone from Yemen would ask for asylum.

The OP will need a Direct Airside Transit visa like I have suggested.

Yemen passport holders do not have visa-free transits for most countries
Not according to UK website, you can always double check with your airline and with UK consulate/embassy in your country or contact UK immigration.

Exemptions
You don’t need a visa if you have one of the following:
  • a visa for Canada, New Zealand, Australia or the USA (this can be used for travel to any country)

It momentarily slipped my mind that the OP has a study permit so he's exempted from the Direct Airside Transit visa
