Flight ticket type to travel for open work permit in Canada

I've got my Visa for an open work permit in Québec, and I'm planning to travel soon. I want to ask you please is it mandatory to buy a round-trip flight ticket, or just a simple flight ticket, my open work permit depend on my spouse study permit which should be renewed before the August, 21 - 2017.
