I recently came across a case where AI denied boarding by saying you are not allowed to travel more than 2-3 weeks prior to start of your studies.Guys I called CBSA 3 times.
Different people picked up. I asked about this essential reason & whether time zone & internet issues would be considered.
One person just said it's essential if I have a physical study permit already. I don't have that. I said I only have Letter of Introduction.
The other two asked whether I have face-to-face classes or online classes.
They said it's not essential if it's online
This is so depressing.
Even if I get that letter from University, I doubt whether Air India will allow me to board. I heard that they're denying boarding even to those with support letter from the institute.
Instead, Air India is now asking for a letter from Canadian High Commission in Delhi to allow boarding. I've been seeing this requirement mentioned on twitter.
So, AI is behaving as if they are working for immigration dept.
P.s. A guy with a supporting letter from University.
