Flagpoling Tonight for new closed work permit! Documents?

Hey Everyone,

I'm going for flagpoling tonight for my new closed work permit. I applied online on 14th march 2017 but accidently used wrong LMIA exemption code, now no reply from CIC yet on the application , so I'm planning to do flagpoling today as my permit is expiring on 30th april. (I already got new offer of employment number with correct LMIA exemption code)

Here are the list of documents I'm carrying with me:

- Passport (original)
- Current valid work permit (original)
- PNP certificate and Work permit support letter from province (copy)
- Employer compliance fee receipt (copy)
- CIC employer email copy showing the Offer of Employment Number. (The one starts with Axxxxxxx)
- Resume
- Job Offer Letter
- AOR copy (in case they ask)
- Emedical copy (in case they ask)

Is any other document required? Any input will be appreciated.

Just came back from border an hour ago, got a 2 year closed work permit. ;D The whole process took about 45 minutes.

HEY, I have a question to ask, did you go to US boarder first and then come back to canada boarder to get work permit.
i live in toronto. I am thinking to go to boarder with all the documents in the evening to get work permit.

Yes, I went to the US border first, got a refusal of entry letter from the US officials. Then went to the Canada side to the immigration booth. Provided all the documents and got the permit in about 45 minutes.

Go luck for your flagpoling, make sure you take all the documents with you.

But I do not have medical copy because i have not done it before.
Do I also have to take imm form for work permit application with me to border. Beacsue my wp application is also in process. (online)

I didn't took the IMM form with me, they didn't ask, they also didn't ask for the medical document. also, You can withdraw your online application once you get the work permit at the border.

Hi,
My friend is currently working with Open Work permit in Canada. He has received his LMIA approval for applying work permit. Can he do flag poling to get his new work visa?
He does not have a US visa.
Appreciate any pointers, kindly help
