Flagpoling at Rainbow Bridge - When?

Hello fellow forum members,

Are there currently any restrictions in place for flagpoling (for PR landing) at Rainbow Bridge?
The border is open 24hr but are there specific times for PR landing processing? When is the best time to go?
 
They only process flag polings from Tuesday to Thursday from 8am to midnight. The best time is to cross at 7am and on your way back they'll allow you to stand in line at the bridge until 8am when they start processing.

Thanks for your input. Do you recommend any specific time between 5PM and 12AM?
 
I don't know if they will process you at that time, i've heard they have daily quotas. I recommend 7am. I just did it this Tuesday and I was done at 9:30am. Even over the phone they recommend to go early.

May I also ask you how long it took for you to receive your passport back with CoPR after it's been delivered to CIC?

They updated the application 2 weeks after being delivered and a couple more days to get it on the mail

Can I go for flagpoling other than the time given above (Like on weekend) if I have a valid US visitor visa?

I'm not sure, we actually wanted to go to the US (we have visas) but they didn't let us go through. They gave us the flag poling paper and said that after we completed our permanent residency paper work we could go back and they would let us in.

How about Sarnia, are they available for weekend flagpolings??

In Sarnia you can do it over the weekend if you are driving there, because that bridge is not pedestrian friendly

Could you please tell about your experience overall - was it fine? Or they were angry at the Boarder? I just called to the Boarder and the officer told that I should schedule an appointment and was quite angry, as I asked about flag-poling at Rainbow Bridge...
 
Hi All,
I finished the PR activation this morning thru a flag polling in Niagra Rainbow Bridge, for my family of 4.

I choose Thursday, as there was news of flag polling being refused on weekends. We took the pedestrian path. It was a whole smooth experience..we reached around 7:30 AM.... only 2 other persons before us. Everything done by 9:15 AM, and then we drove back.. The net time for the overall process. excluding walking between the points, should have been close to one hour..

I had taken a lot of inputs from this forum, thanks a lot to the members here...
