Attempted flagpole at Ambassador bridge without U.S visa on 27 Jan around 10 PM. US checkpoint officer took passport and asked few regular questions and directed us to an office with an orange slip. The border security officers were cold and kept us waiting for almost 2 hours and laters TOOK FINGERPRINT AND PHOTOS and gave a white form stating denial of entry. Later, the Canadian immigration officer was furious about late night flag-poling and refused to sign COPR stating that we have to enter Canada from another country to be able to get a sign on COPR and technically we didn't enter the US due to lack of visa. Thus we faced trouble from US side and work was not done on Canada side. So please don't go there if you don't have US visa and if you have only go in regular hours.
Queries:
1. What happened to us is a regular flagpoling with biometric fingerprints involved or is it something serious with repercussions?
2. Should we try flagpole again (peace bridge probably)? if yes, what things should we be prepared for?
Kindly suggest.
