We haven't received PR card yet...will have to wait 45 days...

We crossed border after 5 minutes of getting PR and didn't have any issue entering Canada....

Without PR card, you can cross border with "Confirmation of P.R." document" and your passport BY LAND BORDER ONLY (and must be in non commercial vehicle - Own/Rental Car)

Yeah with land its OK. Just flying is an issue. Weird huh?
It's because flying requires your entry documents to be checked by the carrier first prior to boarding, and they don't have access to the CBSA database. Of course, the airline won't let you board if they're not sure you can be admitted into Canada...it will cost them $$$ if you are deported.

At a land border, CBSA can verify your status directly using the COPR.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Thank you Sidhu !

Our experience went well at Coutts Alberta border

Officer was nice on both side (USA & Canada)

USA officer asked us to finish landing first and asked us to come back again after finishing immigration paper work....

We drove back to USA after getting immigration work done...It was all fine....
I did my landing at Niagara.. I told them I want to do some shopping and on way back I have to do landing.. they said you complete your process first and then come back and we will allow you to go..and we did same and It took only 15 minutes
