FLAG POLING under IMPLIED Status

Hello,

I lost my status in Canada as my employer did not process my LMIA in time and my work permit expired. I was on a 90 days restoration period. To stay in the country I applied for restoration of status to a visitor. I haven't heard back from CIC yet. So I am on implied status now.

Today my LMIA got approved. My employer would like me to start working as soon as possible. Online application time is 45 days now! Can I flagploe in my current situation and get work permit at the border?

I would appreciate any help I can get.

If you have a visa exempt passport - then yes, you can.

Thank you For your reply. No I am not from a visa exempt country. I currently have not valid status in Canada either.
