First time landing better via Air or Bus from New York to Toronto

Wanted to get suggestion on whether I should do landing via bus or air from New York to Toronto. I am in the US and this is my first time landing into Canada.

What exactly is your question? I'm not sure better via Air/bus in what sense exactly that you're looking to get answer for.

Probably air, as Immigration and Customs at Pearson is reasonably efficient. I'm not sure that the bus would wait for you at the border...

Thanks @zardoz. But in terms of completing the immigration formalities, would bus be fine? I have read people being turned away from the border. I am planning to take greyhound or megabus or maple leaf amtrak train from nyc to toronto.

PR landing formalities take time; moreover if crossing at Niagara area border, they do those only for a few people in the very early morning on weekdays. So it is highly unlikely that the bus will wait for you at the border while you complete your formalities. Air is better or if you can drive your own or rented car across the border that will be fine.
