first stage approved....timeframe for PR completion?

Hi folks!

I got an email saying that the first stage of my PR app has been processed and that they have sent my file to the immigration office in Edmonton. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes for them to get in touch to let me know when I have to go see them?

I'm hoping it's sooner rather than later. Just need this to be finished so my wife and I can get out mortgage funded!!

The posted time on the CIC website is still that 80% of applications are completed in 8 months.

ah thanks. i saw that timeframe but thought that now that the immigration centre have my info that it would be finished up sooner than that. thanks!

sorry just to double check.....online, it says that a decision has been made and that the office will contact me shortly. the decision has been made around 2 months after the first stage was completed. does this mean that it can take up to 6 months for the immigration office in edmonton to contact me? it seems weird that a decision has been made but i would have to wait that long to find out

If it shows DM in e-cas, then what you're waiting for is your landing interview. If it has been two months I'd expect you'd be hearing soon.
