Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read my post,

A little bit of background:
I lived in the USA for the past 11 years and for many family problems I had to return to my country (chile). during that time I had a work permit and I could work legally while I was waiting for my residency.
anyway all that is lost because I've been out of the USA for more than a year.

The question is:
with te experience of having worked in the usa and knowing the way that country worked (just like canada) knowing the english language and my trade skilled listed, woud I have any chances on my application? not looking to apply
for a skilled workers visa, instead a temporary working visa and try to get a sponsor while in Canada.

regards

There is really not a H1B type employment sponsored Immigration program in Canada. You first would have to find an employer is will to obtain a Labour Market Opinion from HRSDC that they advertised extensively, and there are no Canadians or PRs available for the job and the conditions meet local standars. If this is approved then you can apply for a work permit outside Canada. The other way is to have an employer apply to HRSDC for an Arranged Employment Option, (statement that if you are admitted for PR then they will employ you, gives you additional points in a skilled workre application.) which if approved, helps your PR application, but does not give you access to a work permit.
