So I joined IBM initially as Software Developer, but they were in lay-off period later that year and terminated me, while I was still on probation. I worked at IBM for around 6 months. I got another job right away (8 days unemployed), and now I've worked for another job almost 6 months. So in totoal 12 months.

Can I apply for CEC now? I got reference letter and everything from IBM manager but I'm submitting my ROE which says that reason for issue is dismissal. Can this affect my CEC application in any way possible? I'm submitting ROE because I don't have NOA, so it documents my working hours, salary and everything.

You have to have one year full time (30 hours min) or equivalent part time experience.

ROE would not affect your application negatively. People get laid off all the time.

Are you in a rush to apply though? I'd say wait a month so you have 12+1 months as a margin of safety.

Dismissal isn't a problem. My case was similar to yours.

That's no a problem. But as said before by thisisauser keep 1 month of margin, and btw CAP has been reset to 8000 new application. So don't worry.
Even if you worked at 6 different companies in 12 months it wont matter. They don't want continuous work experience all they want in experience.
