@kateg, interesting analysis, but it makes sense - Thank you. Obviously these are all opinions but it seems likely. Moreover, fewer applications to process in the beginning will also help CIC evaluate their setup, their ability to process PR at speed among other things. However, this can't vary too much because they would still have yearly goals of minimum number of applications to process and if distribution is too uneven, they might have a large log at the end.

But i think with whatever number of 600 plus score guys and say up to 480 they would make a pretty large pool. Also the 600 (plus) won't out right vanish. Many of them would continue to apply latter for whatever reasons. Some might not have taken language exam, some would only complete one year for CEC eligibility latter and the list goes on. But it's safe to assume that initial draws will have a larger population of those.

I am not sure there will be large 600 + applicant as well. Previous PNP is not considered and new PNP process will start from February. In addition to that , people waiting for LMIA will take some time to process.

I believe, they will clear out all 600+ and CEC and some quotas for FSW

Well, we have something like a week to go before we know for sure :)

Dear All,

Iam curios as to when CIC is going to announce the following based on ther site http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/draws.asp

QUOTE

ITA draws will be made from the Express Entry pool on a regular basis. Every draw will have a set of instructions the electronic system will use to draw candidates from the pool. These instructions will be posted on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website before each draw.

These instructions will include:

•the date and time of the draw,
•the number of candidates that will get an ITA, and
•if it applies, which specific immigration program(s) will be included in the draw.
If the instructions do not specify which immigration program the candidates must be eligible for, the draw will be based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
UNQUOTE

Anyone assumption on the same

Be positive guys. It will all happen as per normal. CIC's reputation is at stake here . Be positive . Look at me I have been trying from FSW 2014. Be positive be positive be positive :D

Yes I agree,be patient,think positive and enjoy your weekend.
+1 for you. ;D

I hope ministerial instructions for the first Draw will be published on Monday, Jan 26.

Let us keep our fingers crossed!

Since I'm speculating anyway, I'm going to guess that they will do the first draw during the week (rather than the weekend). I'm feeling Wednesday - not first thing, not too late in the week to fix broken things. Big announcements don't belong on Fridays.

So, the Kate Guess is 480 points on Wednesday. Good luck, everyone :)

In Education:
I mentioned
Masters = 2 Years
Bachelor = 4 year
HSC = 2 Years (High School Certificate)
SSC = 2 years or 10 year or no need to mention Secondary School Certificate in EE

Good luck to all!

How do you think what will be the total emount of Open profiles within First Draw? Maybe some counter exists?)))

I think we only have to mention those education years that are assessed by WES. I have only mentioned Bachelors in mine.

Anybody else mention their secondary and higher secondary info too?

No, I did not.
Just bachelor according to WES.
