No you can't work for any other job other than Live-in caregiver not until you get your open work permit (OWP) which you will apply for the same time you apply for your PR.

You may want to check this link for the current processing time - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-other.asp

The processing time is from 13-14 months to get OWP. If we are lucky... if not, maybe next week will change again to 14-15 months. :( (Knock on wood)

No, you can terminate your contract by giving notice (the number of weeks/months of required notice would be on your contract). You have to stay and work with them till they let you go or the required number of weeks (usually 2) is over whichever is shorter.

Oh i see.. things are clear to me now..
Can i also do that to my new employer(which contract is usually 2years) would it be breech of contract...? coz im also considering changing employer after my 2 year LCP if ever my employer might not renew my contract.. :)? ...

thank you :)

No it's not breach of contract if the first contract is only for two years unless you signed a new contract with them. It is "finished" contract if you stayed with them for the its duration. But you would need a ROE if you moved to another employer after you finish your stint with them. Talk with them months before your contract ends so you can make arrangements considering application for WP for the same employer takes longer to process than applying with a new employer, and with a new employer, a new contract needs to be signed and new LMO applied for before you can send in a WP app.

Thank you.

I have another question, i have decided to change employer, i already have new employer and still under lmo processing. im moving to ontario this coming month and my current employer will release me before i leave..Can i just fly and stay there that early? will i encounter problem? will i be going through immigration once i stepped there? because i will have no employer or anything at that time and i prefer waiting there than here in BC. Can you give me and advise please.. thank you ...

You'd be traveling within Canada. No worries there. Have ID or passport for ID purposes when boarding and you're good to go.
