Recently I have received a letter from the CIC to let me have a electronic fingerprint sent to them. They asked for the fingerprint because they say I have a criminal offence or is under a probation order. However, none of these apply to me. I am very sure that I don't have any criminal record. The letter says "After reviewing the biographical information on your application form, there are questions in your case with regard to sections 21 and/or 22 of the Citizenship Act." Have this happened to anyone? I am very worried that why they say I have a criminal record when I really don't have one.

many people have been requested Finger prints. Nothing to worry about. It is a bit of a hastle and adds few more weeks to the processing but that is about it.
No worries there- I also got FP letter with similar text. My understanding is that it’s kind of a standard text sent to everyone. I had my FP taken on April 21 and RCMP has passed on the FP report to IRCC on April 23.
Just get the FP done immediately without wasting time but do it within 30 days of the date of IRCC letter.
