Finger print

CIC asked me to do finger print, I went and done it and rcmp sent it electronically to CIC and I was invited to write my test and I passed,
they told me I cannot do my ceremony because the finger print I did it still pending

My question is “ if they wrote me to take my test doesn’t it mean my finger print went through and it’s good, or thier could be something wrong

Hi .. first of all, RCMP doesn’t send the result electronically . The agency, where you took the fingerprints from, sent your fingerprints to RCMP electronically . From there on, RCMP produces only one copy and sends it to the IRCC or any corresponding office that was mentioned on your letter .

When did you take your FP ? Do you have DCN # ? You can call RCMP to find out when they sent it to IRCC .

I went to my local rcmp police station, do my finger print and I showed them the letter I received to do the finger print, which had the address they wanted me to sent the results, the rcmp people said they will sent it to that address for me. I call IRCC and asked them if they recieved it they said yes, so I know they got it.

the person I spoke to on the phone cic person told me that is normal and I should here something in two weeks or so

But the question I still have it that why they invited me to write the test if the finger print was still pending, and also doesn't it mean that everything was ok with the finger print

Finger print can be requested even after taking the test in some cases...so there is nothing to worry about. As long as u know u dont have a criminal record dont worry about it.

I got requested for FP months after passing the test and giving the RQ . So it has nothing to do with FP pending and giving the test.

It’s normal to send the test request and do the interview while the file is not complete
But they will not send the oath ceremony request until the file is complete

I have a question,
Me and my wife had a little problem, and the police got involved, I was giving a peace bond for 1 yrs, and and within that one year, she called the police on me saying that I hit her, but the police found out it was a fault statement and they drop the charges against me,

My question is that, I am not longer on peace bond, and the second case was dropped, so will that affect me from getting my Canadian citizenship, and also could it be that's why my finger print is taking longer to be clear, cause I checked my application states and it says still in process, after passing the test.

Same thing happened to me today. I passed my citizenship exam, I have my oath taking invitation, but can’t go, because my fp results is not In the system yet, they told me, I have to wait until spring because they will be in Prince George again on sprin
