Finger Print asked for

Hi guys,

I have received a letter from CIC requested me to submit my finger print within next 30 days. Can anyone advice
(1) Is fingerprint mandatory for all applicant who have applied for the Citizenship of Canada?
(2) How much is the fees to provide the fingerprint?

I do NOT have any criminal background. I am only concerned about the fees. It is NOT free.

(1) No. Only the 'lucky' ones will. Same names, same birthday......

(2) Depends. Different places charge different fees. I did it in Edmonton, the police service charge 40, while the private company charges 90.

It's a lot cheaper than what you paid for your Citizenship application.
