Hello,
I've recently received my work permit and am currently applying to jobs. How did people find employers reactions to the fact the OWP only lasts 2 years but you have a PR application in progress? Were there any obstacles you didnt anticipate? Did you struggle to find work simply because you weren't Canadian?

Employers are not interested, they only want to be sure you have proper authorization to work, besides, your SIN will show you have a WP. its not a problem, I have been working or 4 years now with a WP.

There is no need to disclose your OWP to your employer

Incorrect. OP will have a temporary SIN and any employer is required to verify that their work permit is valid.

Ensure that all employees who have a SIN beginning with a "9"are authorized to work in Canada and that their immigration document has not expired.

Ask to see the employee's existing immigration document authorizing him or her to work in Canada (e.g. work permit, study permit) and verify that it has not expired.
