i have a german plumbing/gasfitting certificate , and am trying to find out if the can.gov. will allow a company to sponsor me ,if i am working under they're licence.
i know that in newzealand i can work for a plumbing company as long as they let me work under they're licence. i want to also do a solar pannel course i germany,as i know this skill will soon be in demand in canada.
so, can i work under a canadian plumbers licence or would i have to go to canada first,do my provincial ticket, and then find an employer.ofcourse it would be a lot easyer to do the ticket after i have got my visa, and have a bit of canadian plumbing experience.hope someone has had experience in this matter.calling all plumbers

I wanted to move to Vancouver... If I could get into Canada without having a job first, this ofcource gives me a bit of freedom.then also not beeing tied to a job.if it should turn out to be a bad emplyee for example.I guess I only have the visa as long as I am tied to the emplyee, correct?.Or would I be able to switch to a different employee.I dont meen to sound negative ,but I am just beeing realistic, and going through all scenarios.what are your thoughts on this...?
IF I would get a visa through an emplyee, would I be able to get a job without the licence?and then do the licence when Im there and have a place to work from, and maybee visit the plumbing school then....?

It seems like you might be able to qualify to immigrate as a skilled worker under a provincial nominee program. If you did that, you could work for any employer.

If you found an employer here who was willing to offer you a job and help you get a work permit, you would be limited to working for that employer.

I don't have the specific requirements for working as a plumber here. You should do a google.com search to look into it. Look for British Columbia plumbing certificate or something like that.

thanks allot thaiguy
will check on google,I guess I may have to talk to the plumbingboard directly,to find out these specific regulations.Do you think its absolutely necessary to go through a lawyer,or do you know of other agencies, that are not lawyers, and that can help me with the process.I know there are such agencies in the U.S. but I couldnt find any online for Canada.these agencies are usualy only a third of the price, and do the same job,I think
Thanks again for your help.

When you say "help you," I get concerned because there are so many scam artists out there that are happy to take your money and give you nothing in return.

No, it's not necessary to go through a lawyer. But I also think it's not necessary to go through an agency that requires you to pay an upfront fee.

Whatever you do, be careful.

thanks allot, yea will deffinately watch out for that one.but Im sure there are reputable companies, with a long history.will have to do more research.thanks again for the advice. g
