So we are heading to the Toronto area on August 2. I want the first 3-4 weeks to be for getting settled and used to the place. Plus my husband needs to get his OHIP, SIN, license etc etc. After that first month it is time for him to start looking for a job. I stay home with our daughter and work online which is a part-time thing. (Oh, we will live with my parents at first)

He has a Business Admin BS and his experience is in construction management in California. He would like to stay in construction but is open. I really have no idea where to start. I haven't lived in ON since I was a teen. But I want to support him however I can.

He has a resume done and will get a couple recommendation letters from his current employer. Anyone have tips for finding a job? Thanks!

canadiangirl78......start with the internet for jobs in that field in the location you want....look of the government website for job postings as well....

Try here: I would start looking now! http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/intro-eng.aspx

Thank you both!

Also, start a profile on Linkedin.com! Super Great resource, you can connect with many people and it's a huge job source lead!

Personally I think the best way of finding a decent job is through friends and family. That's where I would start. If that doesn't work out, I'd then go to the internet to see what is available.
