Thanks for the advice Leon. \Leon said:You can start applying but it is unlikely that you will be offered a job right away. You could set up interviews though.
Is it too early to set up interviews if I am only landing in January?

I do not think it is too early. 2 months. I think you should start to apply and state that you will be landing in January.Androse said:Thanks for the advice Leon. \

Read the papers and the job bank ads. Go to places where you want to work and apply. They will often have help wanted signs outside but even if they don't, you can still apply. Take a bus through the industrial neighbourhoods as well. Warehouses and factories also tend to have help wanted signs outside and again, even if they don't, you can still apply.fast said:Hillo Leon and other seniors help me pls!
I'm 30yrs old male and decided to live Camrose,AB.(will land on 16/11/2011).

Leon said:Yes, security guard is a good survival job. It pays better than fast food and does not require many skills.
Hi Leon,
Am I right in thinking you have to study for a license in order to be a security guard?
Thanks
Mhut
Thanks LeonLeon said:Last I heard there was no license necessary. Maybe they have since changed it.
