Hello,

I have to questions and I would much appreciate if anyone could help.

I'm living in Canada since 2014 on a student visa. My sister is planning to visit me next January and stay here for 3 weeks-1 month, she has just enough money to travel (she will stay at my house, I will provide food), but doesn`t file taxes in our home country nor does my father/mother.
Can someone else from the family be her financial sponsor for a visitor visa, like an aunt and uncle?

The second question is about the letter of invitation.
As I am a temporary resident in Canada, can I send this letter?
If just a Canadian or PR can send this letter, can my common law spouse (Canadian citizen) send it to her?

Thank you for your help!!!

Cheers.

Is she underage? Why one month? WHy is it important to file taxes for you?

Hi Jalex, thanks for the reply.

She is not underage, she is 24. She works and has a job and salary in our country. One month because she wants to travel here and visit places in Canada, and it will be the extension of her holidays.
I asked about filing taxes because a visa consultant told her that she can just apply if she can prove that SHE or our PARENTS can show financial proof and in special proof of the taxes filed, but neither of them have it.
I don't know about that and our aunt and uncle can be her financial sponsor and send their taxes proof, however, the consultant said that that is not possible and my parents are the only ones allowed to be the sponsors.

OK if she is not underage then she cannot be "sponsored".

She needs to show financial stability and for that you need proof of employment and proof of funds. The funds need to be hers and available on demand. She doesn't need tax returns.

In these cases we suggest that she gets a deposit in he bank account, let it sit there for three-four months, then add bank statements to show the available funds along with a letter of explanation of why were those funds given, how and for what purpose.
