That is so crazy. I get they might ask questions, but if I want to relax at a resort then I can lol
And let's be real here, Dominican is not the cleanest of countries. Don't get me wrong, I love it My friend from Canada worked there for a few years with a company and she was always sick! You can still get sick at the resort too for sure. I just don't see why they have an issue with whether you chose to stay at a resort or not. But again, who knows all the reasons they do the things they do and say and question lol!

Dominicans in general are very clean. You get more chance to get sick at a resort than at the house of your spouse.

Did they send you a standard email letting you now you are in queue for an interview? and does your cic shows "an interview is required"?

Yes i got the email mid july.

They finally sent the official notice or this is just the email reply from

Official notice, several of us got it at the same time. Some have since been interviewed last week. My MP also called their contact at CIC that confirmed the same.

No, no one that i know, including me, got that by gckey. All is sent via email, including the interview date once they know when, they email you. None of my correspondence so far came via gckey.
I am in queue! That means i am waiting for our turn at being interviewed. I dont have a date........

I know what being in queue means. My question was more did they randomly email or was it in response to your request to them for an update

There is a possibility we could also be in queue for one. But since mangu power is a December, applicant she will probably get it for November. If we are on queue, we might have to wait even longer!!! I have not gotten any official email about it though.

No it was not in response to anything, they mass emailed some of us that.

Lol! I didn't say Dominicans are not clean!! The country itself is not that clean. Their water system etc is not good. That is what I mean.

Its more clean than haiti and most islands.
My mother in law use big bottles of water. She sells them too as they have a store.

When you say that you are possibly in queue for an interview, did you receive any indication (ie. through GCMS notes or just a hunch because you have some suspected red flags)?

Just wondering what to look for, as I have heard nothing yet but will wait for my next set of notes to arrive the following week.

Oh i thought you were an inland applicant, if your husband is here however and you applied outland, the fact he already is here on a visitor visa makes a big difference actually, they may even waive the interview as he has been here on a visa already and that clears him in a lot of ways
