I can say your wife has excellent opportunities in canada! I myself a dentist I can say your wife can apply for P.G in Canada I can assure she will get 100% visa! And you can accompany her instead!
Physiotherapist are very must required there!

For your profile please wait until you get oil and gas production cos it is directly relating your occupation!!

Thank you for replying..

We though about it but my wife is a new grade, so she does not have one full year of employment to be eligible for PR =(
However, She is on the process of getting her license. soon enough she will get this and will be able to get a LMIA as she already has a job offer (just waiting on the license)

Get affidavit of support from your father in law **** on a stamp paper*** with attestation of notary public!! ( just a letter explaining the funds is not enough)
Try providing source of funds by father in law if possible with attestations..****
6 months of bank statement ****
Any pensions * * * *
ITR , PAN card of your father in law if possible!!***
Documents gets authentic only on notary published attestations!!
All the best!!

Thanks Dr.Raj, that helps me too! I'm also applying for a student visa with financial help by relatives. So that stuff is good to know. Good luck to everybody who is also applying!

Ok, this might be a stupid question: what is the difference between a letter of financial support and a affidavit ??????

Sorry about all these questions.

Does the bank statements need to be in English? Because de letter of support/affidavit I am providing will be in English, but not the bank statements..

=?

Affidavit of support is a document which is in stamp paper,
where you type your information and get attested with a notary public!

**** Any documents not in EnGlish translation is a must**** (Mandatory)

Thank you!

Great, thank you.. I have seen in some threads that some individuals also upload documentation proving background education/employment/etc.. but on my checklist (that one provided after the eligibility questionnaire) it does not say anything about that...

They only asked me for:
the form to change status from worker to student
the form to change status from visitor to worker (for my wife)
marriage certificate
proof of funds
letter of acceptance

do I have to provide such info?

No.

Thank you so much.. I still have some questions:

1) Both me and my wife have been here in Canada since September (left the country to the USA for tourism and back). On the form, there is the following question:

In addition to a study permit, are you also applying for a work permit?
What type of working permit are you applying for?

Do I have to answer yes for that or is it already inferred that with the new rules, I am able to work off campus without a work permit?

The options provided on the form are: a) co-op work permit, b)open work permit and c)pgwp

Also, they ask for Family Member Proof of Status..
Should I just provide a copy of her visitor visa?

With a study permit you can work off campus without any work permit! But you can work only 20 hrs /week..
