Financial Support from my Father-in-Law

Hello everyone.. Fortunately, I got accepted in a full-time college! Now I am able to change my status from worker to student as well as apply for my wife’s open work permit, which is here in Canada on a visitor visa!

My question is regarding proving financial status.
Is a letter of my father-in-law along with his past 6 months bank statements enough to prove financial support? On the letter, we plan to detail that he is willing to sponsor my tuition as well deal with all costs of living until we are able to afford ourselves here.

I am transferring money from my bank account but I am afraid it takes too long to actually be completed =/

Thank you

I have another question: is it important to attach a Letter of Intention, explaining why I decided to go for studies here and my future intentions? I actually plan to finish my studies and apply for a PGWP e progress to PR if possible. Should I mention those intentions?

Get affidavit of support from your father in law **** on a stamp paper*** with attestation of notary public!! ( just a letter explaining the funds is not enough)
Try providing source of funds by father in law if possible with attestations..****
6 months of bank statement ****
Any pensions * * * *
ITR , PAN card of your father in law if possible!!***
Documents gets authentic only on notary published attestations!!
All the best!!

dr.Raj91, thank you so much for all information !!!

We are working on that, but should not be a problem..
My tuition is 14K per year.. so I guess I have to demonstrate 14K + 10K for living expanses + 4K as I am applying for my wife as dependent..
Right now, we are able to prove 80K (and that sums my father-in-law’s checking account + savings account + investment accounts) We can definitely provide ITR as well..

That should be okay right?
Another question: does paying the first semester before applying for the study permit make my case stronger? If yes, I would just upload the college receipt right?

Thank you so much

1st year tuition is highly recommended.. it will strengthen your profile!
In s.o.p mention what kind of job availabilities are there in your country once you finish your course here!
This will make you more Genuine! My personal suggestion don't get offended if you have your baby born in Canada you both will get P.R immediately!
Thank you!

Thank you again..

As I mentioned on the first thread, we intend to stay in Canada.. progressing from study permit to pgwp, and if possible, apply for PR (through alberta nominee program, as I have a very good job offer and I qualify for one of the programs when completed one year of employment). Should I mention that those are my intention or this can harm my application?

YES. It IS important.
Should I mention those intentions?
NO. NEVER. Quite the opposite. You MUST convince VO that studying in Canada will help you a lot in your career in home country.

Do I have good chances of a positive study permit ?

I am currently working as a landscaper helper (skilled d profession) since may and as I mentioned, my wife is visiting. I will change my status from worker to student and apply along for her OWP.
I graduated as a chemical engineer back in Brazil and my wife is a physiotherapist. I applied for Business Admistation College, cause I believe that I lack the administration aspects of engineering business.

How good are my chances?

Sorry , I forgot to mentioned that I am still waiting on an answer from another designated college for “accounting production - oil and gas”. Would this last one offer better chances of getting the SP than business adm?
