I'm a permanent resident, working as physician in Saudi Arabia.
My daughter-in-law from Pakistan wants to visit us in Canada on TRV.
My son has already applied to sponsor her under spousal sponsorship program.
In addition to my son's bank statements, I also intend to add my bank statements (from Saudi Arabia as well as Canada) stating that I'll also support her to cover the expanses of her travel & stay in Canada.
My question is whether this will have any positive effect on her application?

She needs to have her own money in her account.Immigration always expects that for reason if anything happens and she does not get along with your family even her husband she has money to cater to herself.

Thanks for sparing time to reply to my query.
Actually my query was based on a point mentioned in "Visa Office Instructions for Pakistan", which reads as follows:
If you are not paying for your own trip:
  • Provide a letter signed by the person paying and a photocopy of their passport, or other official identification with photo and a bank certificate proving that they have sufficient funds.
  • Describe how this person is related to you.
  • These documents must be dated within three months of the date on which the application is submitted.
My daughter-in-law recently completely her studies, & is now working as a school teacher. She obviously does not have sufficient funds in her bank account, & is to be supported by us &/or her parents.
She just wants to visit her husband during summer vacations of school (appr. 02 months), & will return to continue her job. Her husband (my son) has already applied for her immigration under the "Spousal Sponsorship Program". There is no question of her overstaying, as this will tantamount to sabotaging her immigration under that program.
Will the bank statement of her father be acceptable?
Any further guidance in this respect from your side will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
