Hi All
I want to apply for a graduate certificate course (1-year course)in September from outside Canada. Can my father act as my sponsor for the studies and can I attach his bank statement? or the bank statement should be in my name? How much should be in the bank(equivalent to Canadian dollars)? is this statement should be for 3/4 months or just a month statement is enough?
Regards

How old are you? Pay your total tuition. Your father can provide his bank accounts for 4 months. However if you are over 22 you should be showing most of your own funds.

Hi,

You should probably get an affidavit from your father stating that he'll support you financially during your education. Attach a bank statement with 4-6 months transaction history. Also, if there is a bulk deposit in the account, do explain in your sop the reason why it was deposited all of a sudden. Finally, the bank account must have funds equivalent to the total fees + $10,000 CAD. These liquid funds should be primary and if you wish, you could also show any assets your father own (in addition to liquid funds;not primary). Hope it helps !
