Hi,

I am applying for Open Work Permit along with my husband's student's visa from India. Meanwhile I am planning to get a housing loan amounting to 30 Lakhs INR, this will leave me in 30 lakhs debt and property worth INR 50 lakhs in my name. Having such a huge loan pending in my name will affect in anyway for my visa approval? Please assist.

Thanks,
Hema

I don't know of any way that CIC is able to track your financial liability as an applicant.

So it does not affect your application. The proof of funds you submit would be evaluated of course.

However, if this latter turns into an unpaid liability and criminal investigation against you and you need to say apply for PR with a police certificate from India, getting that would become next to impossible

Thanks for your response. No I don't intend to not pay the loan and make it into a criminal investigation against me :)
