Hey all,
I am in the process of applying for a study permit from the UK. I recently got my acceptance letter through for my one-year exchange programme, and so have applied locally to my Student Loan company, who provide loans for one-year exchange students (I know from others who have went on this exchange programme).
The dilemma I am currently in, is that it will take approx 6-8 weeks for my official documentation for this student loan to come through, and another 6-8 weeks for the Study Permit to be processed and received. I leave in 12 weeks.
My question is, should I proceed with my Study Permit application, and use previous loan documentation to support my claim that I am 100% guaranteed to receive this loan, it just may take some time for the official documentation to come through. Is there another option for financial proof? My brother has said he can help me out if needed, but I don't think he has the capital to cover the kind of expenses they are talking about (~$10,000 / year)
Thanks in advance for any replies.
