Financial documents for visitor's visa (TRV)

Hello all,

I'm applying for a visitor's visa for my grandmother. I have sent letter of invitation to her.

My question is can I send my financial docuemnts to visa office directly? Since she is old a few other people are helping with the application and for privacy reasons I don't want to disclose my financial information to people other than CIC officials.

After the visa application is proceessed will my docuemnts be returned? To the applicant's address or my address in Canada?

Yes, you can send your financial documents directly to the visa office. You'll have to also provide a copy of her TRV application with your financial documents, etc.

One point:
You can expect her visa processing to take longer than the processing time stated on the IRCC website because your financial documents will be sent separately


Only original documents will be returned. Photocopies will not be returned..... nor will regular documents like bank statements, etc be returned
