Financial aid for Immigration Quebec francisation - when is it paid?

My partner landed this spring and he is now attending full-time French classes. I'm wondering, for budgeting purposes, if anyone here knows how often they disburse the financial aid payments. He received a payment for the first two weeks of classes (last week of August and first week of September). Does anyone know whether they issue cheques every two weeks? three weeks? four weeks? monthly? or what?

I've been driving him every day because a bus pass is a big amount all at once and my financial situation makes that very difficult. So far, the driving is working out well, but we could really use that money to pay for the gas. It's hard to find any information like this on their web pages.

Quite some time after, but, did you find out? I'm about to start next week and I also wantwto buy a monthly bus pass, was wondering if I should buy it now or wait until they pay.
