Financed Vehicle requirement from U.S.A to Canada

Hi All,

Can we take a financed vehicle from U.S.A to Canada ? Is it even advised to take our financed car from U.S.A to Canada. I am wondering about taxes, import charges etc. and if it is really worth to take a financed car to Canada instead of buying a new car at Canada. Can some one please confirm.

I assume you are asking about moving to Canada as a PR. If so, the short answer is that it won't be possible because the company that financed your vehicle will never give you permission.

Yes, it can be done. I have friends who have done it. You just need to make sure you can still make your payments, and you will need to import the car which involves several steps and checks

Got it !! basically it will be complicated is what I understand from your response and this thread. I guess its better to buy the car once I reach Canada. Thank you so much.
