Finally received passport

Hi All,

Just I wanna update to all about my visitor processing time.

Online submitted : April - 12 - 2013
Passport requested on : April - 26 - 2013
Passport received by consulate : April - 29 - 2013
Passport received with stamping : May - 25 - 2013

I have applied for my family and send all passports in one cover and with attached reply cover and received all of them in same reply cover.

I have sent 2 e-mails to consulate enquiring about passport status. Overall experience very long & lot of patience is needed & lot of frustrations.

Just to note that new york consulate changed processing timelines to 30days.

Where was your visa approved Ottawa or NY or LA. Did they even reply to your emails?

Passport received by NY consulate April 23
passport received on May 17
Seems on the visa page it says place of issue Ottawa, may be they are sending passport to Canada for stmaping and it is taking for ever
Atleast they should mention on the web site that it takes one month to process ( imean from the day embassy recevies passport and to send back)
otherwise peopel who need to travel on mergeny basis will have to face crisis
