Loool yea I guess I did get the grease. I sent 548 in the past 3 days, I usually laugh while sending emails. I didn't know it was going to work, but i just said to myself "why not give it a try" By the way for anyone with the Nairobi visa office, send an message to this email:re-nrobi-im-fc@international.gc.ca they usually responded faster than case specific enquire. I really annoyed them I even sent them my wife's passport,without
Being asked to. I love this website, I got so much information here. Thanks

I also think you sending all the emails and not your wife the applicant just stressed how much you love her and the genuineness of your marriage,which after all is the most important aspect!!!wishing you both a beautiful life in Canada when it's all done :)
 
Mrembo you hit the nail on the head!!!! That was my main goal, to show them I'm stressing here without my love and I won't stop until its done. No matter what they said I was gonna keep sending emails, until they finished it. I was on a interview list February 24, it took them 1 month and 9 days to finish everything. Sometimes you gotta push em a bit.

Although I am happy to see you had a positive resolution I hope that repeated emails were not the cause. It would be unfortunate if this is what it would take to move up the queue.
 
Sadly it prolly is what it takes to move up the queue. They finished my hole process in a month and 9 days and it was sent out of their office today. They gave me the tracking number today. I don't see why the process would take more than 1 year. Also when I was on the interview queue, when I inquired about when the interviews would be, they would respond with a generic response. That is the reason I sent so many emails. I want a real response with real answer not vague.

Congratulations for completing the process. I think Nairobi need to be pushed sometime to take a turn to process files. I am hoping they don't take long time with our passport because I have been waiting for a long time.

The CIC website states that too many inquiries can delay your application because every time they pull your file it changes the next bring forward date. Though when processing times are all more than a year it really makes little difference. The Family class for spouses takes precedents before all else and should be no more than 6 months tops. If they can't follow their own policy than why should anyone else.

I sent about 7 emails at each step of the process which included not only the Embassy and my MP but the Minister of CIC and the counterparts from the Liberals and the NDP as well as the local press and the CBC. I'm glad to read others have found success doing that as well.

I agree with you. The process need not take more than 6 months. It is insane that it takes so long to verify some documents and issue a simple visa, when a passport can be issued within hours.
