hi.
would like to share goods news finally after almost 3yr time.
I' finally got the Visa on last Saturday, along together with Corps form for my spouse & son.

Pls see below my time frame-

*We received your application for permanent residence on October 23, 2009.
*We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 23, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
*Your application and supporting documents were received by the Hong Kong office. They are pending review.
*We transferred your application to the Hong Kong office on December 30, 2009. The Hong Kong office may contact you.
*Your application was reviewed and we started processing on April 27, 2010.
*Medical results have been received.-
*A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Pls note, my visa office was in Hong Kong.

Now next step, what to do- my planning to go this year at mid of August.
Pls help/advise what shall I do & how to apply sin card, ID card etc..

Pls suggest- awaiting for your update.

Congratulations ! Your PR Card ( ID Card) will be mailed automatically at your given address at the time of landing in Canada. AND you have to visit any nearest service Canada office after landing and they will issue you a SIN number immediately and the SIN Card will be mailed to your mailing address within a couple of weeks.

pls note, I have filled on application form at the designation place were at Toronto.
So, I can land anywhere such as- Vancouver?? or I have to land straight to Toronto?? - pls advise.

well they have given me visa validity from 20th Feb 2012 - 6th Jan 2013
so I think better to leave on mid July month.

congrats. u can land at any Canadian Port Of Entry except Quebec. u can definitely land in Vancouver.
