I'm all smiles finally!
If only I knew I did not have to wait to get married before I did this, i would have done it like 3 months ago!
Anyways after one month, it has finally arrived, application to be sent out by September 1st hopefully! :P

Well it's a good thing you didn't do it 3 months ago it would have expired! (they are only good for 3 months from the date on them) Congrats! I know it makes you feel one step closer! your lucky it took me 10 weeks to get mine back tho it was traveling amongst Christmas mail.

omg! its only valid for 3 months? that really sucks! Well thank God i did not do it!
10 weeks? Wow, thats very lengthy!

CIC needs to receive it within 3 months of the police certificate being issued. And, yes, 3-4 months wasn't unheard of so you were (relatively speaking) very lucky with a 4 week FBI processing time.

The important thing is that you have it and can now send off your application. Good luck!

just a quick question to you... how did you submit your fingerprints... I have been reading alot that the FBI isn't accepting inked fingerprints tho I can't find anything on the FBI website yet when I got to surrounding states and including my home state they all say FBI is only accepting electronic fingerprints from with-in US... but if you had yours done less then a month ago....

hmmm this thing wont let me put up links but i remember clearly i could not do it online.
I had to follow the link from the cIC website though and it linked me finally to the FBI website.
i eventually went to some place that took my fingerprint of some kind of paper, i think its called RAP sheet, not too sure tho. Then there was a sort of application on the FBI website, its just a page though, of just filling your details and making a payment depending on your amount of copies needed. Once that was all done, i enclosed in an envelope and sent it to WV.

I already did it once but it was end of last year, I had been reading they don't do inked anymore and was trying to have backup plan in case I had to redo but you sent in inked prints... cool what state are you in? when I said electronically I meant where they scanned your fingerprints and send them to the FBI VIA computer...

Oh never heard they dint do inked anymore, I am in Chicago.

I guess I missed the 3 month expiration date. I received mine in late June and was planning on sending my app in early October. Now I have to do it again? What a bummer.

Good thing you know now and it won't delay your application :)
