If someone has applied from US and then moves back to India, what one should be doing once they call for interview or once one has to submit passport? Is getting tourist B1 visa for US is easy? Has anyone ever been in this situation?
HAs anyone applied for PR from US while on H1 visa and then moved back to India. I got 2nd AOR but my H1 visa is expiring soon. So I cannot stay in US now, what if interview request comes, what are the things that I need to keep in mind for successful PR processing while I go back to india, any advise will be helpful, anybody, seniors, experts please share your thoughts.

1. Interview may or may not come... u have a 1/3 chance to it.
2. If u 'change' your address to the Indian one - u'd be called for the interview, if any,@CHC-ND.
3. Member AnushaUC here was like your case [moved to ND midway of processing, but sans the interview] - PM him.

1. If an interview is required and you don't/can't appear, they will make a decision with the information on file which is usually a refusal.
2. A B visa to attend a Canadian Immigration interview is extremely difficult to get.
3. If there is no interview, you will have to find a way to get your passport to/from Buffalo as it is illegal to mail/courier passports out of India, so you will have to find some one to hand carry it to the US and hand carry it back.

Thanks a lot Qorax & PMM for your response. I have one more question, does changing the address to Indian address after moving to India, will it slow down the process. I assume it would, any idea by how much time it my file will be delayed. And any idea if it's risky in anyway to move to file to India, as I applied under NOC 0123, and now this NOCC category is not there.

Really appreciate your response and time,

Thanks a lot.
