Hi again,

one final question..rather two final questions -

1) WOuld you advice on submitting cover letters, say one letter or cover letters for sub-sections as well (eg. proof of funds etc)
2) Would you advice to put the documents in a file and then send or just send documents only?

These may be naive questions, but please advice

hi inexperienced

1) cover letter for each sub-section is better but seniors could guide you more accurately.

2) just send the docs...

This isn't the opinion of a Senior, but the Doc Checklist says to use it as "the cover page". If you put yourself in the place of the Officers checking all this paperwork, would YOU want anything MORE to read? Clearly state your answers to the questions on the forms (additional notes usually required to complete them), make sure you don't leave blank lines without an N/A where required, organize your documents in order, double check just one more time, put them in the envelope, lick the flap, and feel proud that you've got THAT part of the process done! Good Luck!!

Hey DDev and pippin,

Thank you both for your answers. I agree with both of you and had the same contradictory opinions. Since the Doc Checlist is supposed to be used a 'cover letter'. But I need to explain various issues to the officer e.g. the spin-off of our company into a seperate division etc, for which I would need space to write.

Please let me know what youi guys think..

Also, could you look at this question and provide your advice. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/document-list-t48575.0.html

Thanks so much

I don't think there is right or wrong in compiling the application. As long as you follow the essential steps in the guidelines you should be fine. But if you need to explain things in separate cover letters, I don't think that would be flagged as "annoying action" that leads to rejection..:)
Don't be tense..I also have to do the same as you did...wrote separate cover letter explaining that my company was in to merger and how it affected my current job etc. Remember every case is different. As long as you are doing what you are asked to do and if there is any thing you need to do you differently that others - you should be okay....remember each case.application is unique

Good luck
