-Application submitted sept 17, 2020
-Application in process July 1st, 2021
-Medical request march 26, 2021 (passed)
-Police certificate request December 25th 2022
-Acknowledgement of receiving the pc December 29th 2022
-Criminal rehabilitation letters request March 19th 2023
-Acknowledgement of receiving the criminal rehab letters March 22 2023
-Authorization to return to Canada (ARC) request April 25 2023
-ARC letters sent April 26 2023

Early next week the MP has an appointment with them so we will know more. The last time we heard about the status of our application was in march the day they confirmed they received the criminal rehab letters. They told the MP medicals passed, biometrics received, criminality in progress, Security and eligibility not started. From then till now, a lot has happened so im hopeful the status has changed when she contacts them again.

None of us here are lawyers and this situation is complex and unusual. I'm not sure you're going to get any useful feedback here on your timelines.

The only piece of feedback I would have is not to rely only on your MP for all of your updates. I would order your GCMS notes too. We see tons of examples here where MPs don't quite get the facts right or understand the full story or ask the right questions. They are not immigration experts. Just my two cents. Of course maybe you are close to the end but I would order the notes all the same.

Our lawyer has also been in regular contact with them, there isn’t really any questions to ask other then what the status is at this point in time. Our lawyer thinks its likely that mostly everything has been approved and is now in the final decision stage. Our case is slightly more complex due to his criminal past, definetly. There are some things i didn’t add to the timeline just cuz i don’t have all the info, just the important stuff. The GCMS notes previously were of no value, if this upcoming week’s appointment with them shows no change, i’ll definetly consider ordering them again.

We have just receieved word from mp assistant:

“I spoke to an agent about an hour ago. Good news, all verification steps on this file have passed and we are just waiting for final decision which should come very soon. Once the approval is done, a Ready for Visa letter will be sent out shortly after.



Kindly advise our office when this letter is received so we can close this file.”

Everything has passed! Including criminality. Our previous sponsership we got denied as he was inadmissible. He is now admissible.

Did he get his interview with the VO officer b4 ARC app was sent ?
