I'm happy I discovered this forum, you've all been very helpful to me when my wife and I have been filling our forms out; making sure there are no mistakes or unanswered questions.

I need a confirmation please. My wife and I are sending off our documents Monday morning using the NEW forms. I know the website stated until January 31st we're allowed to send any E-Medical which was already completed with the new forms, so I have my E-Medical already done. I only send them the un-folded sheet with my picture/barcode provided at the time of the doctor visit, right? I got the results back in the mail too, I assume they don't need the larger packet which includes all the results and will look all that up online via the barcode? Good news is I got a "A" Grading... :D

My question is regarding the police certificate. I obtained it earlier due to originally using old forms. Should I include it or not include it? The new forms say it's not required up front. They don't make it very clear...it doesn't say you shouldn't/can't send it up front - they just say it's not required, but they also say prepare to get one as soon as you submit the paperwork because when they begin processing they will request it shortly afterward. It takes roughly 2 months to get one from the FBI, and from what I've read it's valid for 6 months. I obtained mine in early December so I can either include it up front or hold on to it and hope it doesn't expire before they request it.

To me, 1 of 3 things can happen.

#1 They accept it.
#2 They decline it, request a new one.
#3 They send whole package back.

What do you think the chances of them sending the whole thing back is if I have everything else complete and just included it? What should I do?

They will not return the application. They only return them if your application has an incomplete or missing:
- IMM1344
- IMM0008 or,
- Fees paid (receipts)

From OP-2 (for Family Class Sponsorships; In Canada Class is identical):

"
5.3. When does a family class application exist?
In family class redesign cases (spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent children); a family class application requires receipt by CPC-M of an IMM 1344AE, a properly completed and signed IMM 0008 and the correct processing fees. If any of these elements are missing, the application is returned to the sponsor. Other family class cases require that the IMM 1344AE and correct fees have been received by CPC-M and the properly completed and signed IMM 0008 received by the visa office
See R10 and R12 for more information on what constitutes an application.
"

Okay great! Well those are all there and fully completed/signed. So I guess I should include it? I was thinking just include an extra sheet explaining that I was originally going to use the old forms but we discovered the new forms when we went to apply and went that route, thus me having it up front. That should suffice then, maybe??

The FBI stapled the sheet together though - should I remove staples or keep it how I received it? That may be a super anal question but I know how the CIC doesn't want staples/binders/etc.

Leave it in the package as you received it. Worst case: they discard it and ask for a new one. Same with the medical.
