Hello Everyone,

I have got an admit from a Canadian Univ for MSc, its fully funded, but initially I must pay some differential fee at the univ which will be reimbursed later so do I need to show any financial documents.

Congrats on securing the admission.

You will have to follow the regular process & documentation to apply for the visa. only difference being, for the proof of funds, you can attach the document from the Univ. which says that your study is funded by the Univ. and attach all the proof of payments that you initially make.

It is always advisable to show a good bank statement of yours to strengthen your case. are you from India and applying thru the SPP stream ?

all the best.

Yes I'm from India but my university is not under SPP program. Can you please tell me how much amount should be shown in the bank statement will suffice, because they don't accept Fixed Deposit receipts. I have got a funding of 20 K per year for 2 years and my total fees for 2 years is around 16 K. So do you think I need to show any amount ?

Another thing I want to ask is this -

I have been admitted to program starting from Jan 2011, I finished my bachelor's this year in June 2010. So in IMM1294B form column no. 4 asks " My present Job". Presently neither I'm in a job nor a student, so I'm writing - Student (Completed my Bachelor's in June 2010) , will it be alright ?

Hi Endgame,

Reg your last query "I have been admitted to program starting from Jan 2011, I finished my bachelor's this year in June 2010. So in IMM1294B form column no. 4 asks " My present Job". Presently neither I'm in a job nor a student, so I'm writing - Student (Completed my Bachelor's in June 2010) , will it be alright ?"

I think you state "Unoccupied" as your current status and detail in brackets about activities like searching appropriate University for admission etc. and/or any (if at all) short term course/s e.g IELTS/SAT etc.

No, not at all, for sure; and I say this from personal experience. (Exploring or pursuing a short term course the right University is no mean activity, they are counted as they fill in the gaps)

Remember, it is always right to furnish the facts, truthfully!. This will avoid future hassles.

Can anyone please answer this question its urgent
