Filling PR forms where education is in half years/semesters

Hi,
Can you please advise on below.
1. IMM 0008E GENERIC APPLICATION FORM FOR CANADA: "Number of years of education in total" is not allowing me to enter my education in years as 17.5 its expecting a full number. How can I enter 17.5 ?

2. IMM 5669E SCHEDULE A BACKGROUND/DECLARATION: under question# 7: 'University/college' box is not allowing me to enter 5.5 its expecting a full number. How can I enter 5.5 ?

3. IMM 5669E SCHEDULE A BACKGROUND/DECLARATION: under question# 7: should I enter years of educationas in indian stle or canadian style? for e.g., my case: 10 yrs till 10th class/SSC, then 2 years intermediate, after that 4 yrs of engg/bachelor's, finally 1.5 yrs of master degree. So shall I enter : 6,6,5.5 as per canada system or 10,2,5.5 as per indian system ?

Background : After my 4 yrs of bachelor's degree, i completed master degree in India which is 3 semesters = 18 months = 1.5 year. So total is 17.5 in which 'University/college' becomes 5.5 years.

Most courses are advertised as 2,3,4 yrs etc. There is no need to change that into semesters and calculate the exact time in education. If it was a 2yr course, write down 2 yrs.

Well you will write a from and to date...

So when you are entering totals... you can either manually write the detail, or just round it up. Those would be the only options !
