Filling out IMM0008 and have a question

I am fillout the form IMM0008 and need to know if i need to list my spouses overage children in her home country who will not be coming to Canada? It says that we need to list all family members or they will not be able to sponsor them at a later date. What confuses me is that there is no catagory where I can show that they are overage children and are not dependent on my spouse or myself. Do I include them or not?

Yes still include them. If you don't, your spouse could be caught as misrepresentation. So include them for sure! There's another form that you will have to include that will have the birth dates of them so they will know how old they are

Under question #12 is gives 3 options for dependent. None of these apply. Do I leave this box blank?

I'm not sure what the difference is for that. I know my best friend had to put her overage child on there but no idea what she put (Husband and I don't have kids haha) I'm hoping someone else can tell you that!

You only have to put dependent children on the IMM0008. Children that are no longer dependent just go on the additional family information form.

wife is sponsor, i m cosigner
preparing to sponsor her mom and dad come over to canada
wife has a sister and she is 24 years old (she is not coming to canada but cic said list all family members)

do we list her on imm0008 (add dependent) or the additional family information form ?

If the sister is not coming to Canada and does not fall under the definition of a dependent child, she should only be included on their additional family information form.

The IMM0008 must include their dependent children under 22 but may also include older children who are still dependent for reasons such as disability or studies. If the 24 yo. sister is a full time student since before the age of 22, is financially dependent on their parents and is not married nor living in a common law relationship, she could be included but in that case, she would have to remain single and remain a full time student until they get their PR, otherwise she would be dropped off the application again.

do we need to fill in 3 different copies - IMM 5406 Additional family information form
mother - principal applicant
father -
sister of my wife- 24 yrs old <-- she is not coming , but we have to list her

so do we need to fill in 3 different copies ?

The sister is not a dependent child so she does not have to fill out the form.

Hi i am sponsoring my husband who has children from a previous marriage which lives her mother and not planning to sponsor them to come to Canada... should we include them on his dependent's list on IMM 0008? and do we need custody paper's for them even if they are not accompanying? also he has 2 kids so the no. of family members included on the application will be 3? and should the minimum income requirement be calculated for the 3 of them? any help will be greatly appreciated... thanks

He must include them on his IMM 0008. He should list them as "not accompanying" and he would need to get their medicals done. He would have the option to sponsor them later. If the mother has full custody and flat out refuses medicals, he will have to show proof of that and immigration will then remove the children from his application and he would not have the option to sponsor them later.

You do not need to show proof of income to sponsor a husband, even if he has dependent children.
