Filling out EE for FSW specifically

I want to apply under FSWP but I have been working in Canada for over a year as self employed. If I list my Canadian experience I get the ITA for CEC for which I am not eligible being self employed. How do I then list my Canadian work experience? If I write it under Work History, the system will pick me in CEC. If I eliminate it the application becomes ineligible. Do I write it with a reduced duration ? How can I form my application?

Understood. So should it be entered in tbe EE application (pre ITA)? Do I mention it or remove it?

That leads to complications. If self-employed is mentioned, and since one cannot select tge stream AND if the person qualifies for both CEC and FSW (system does not factor in self employment to filter out CEC eligibility), as per IRCC site, the person will get the invitation for CEC.

Either one declines the offer until specific FSW invitation is set or apply in the dark hoping that the processing will be done for FSW when the VO sees the self employed work.

Essentially, if I write all work experience as it is, I get CEC invitation. If I don't mention the self employed experience, that will not be correct representation.

My question was how to mention all experience and still get FSW invitation. Seems impossible!

As there is no way to specifically apply for a particular stream, Seems there is a mismatch in how the information is entered, how the invitation is received and how EE is processed.

Unfortunately it did not. My EE was declined because self-employment is not a valid criteria for CEC.

However I was invited for CEC even though I had mentioned the Canadian experience as self-employed.

Retrospectively, I should not have mentioned the self-employment work history so that I would have been invited to FSW.

However, not mentioning that in the work history would come under misrepresentation.

Seems there is no way out of this circular confusion !!

Not mentioning it in an EE profile will not result in a misrepresentation. You only mention the work experience you want to claim points, and you list the rest in personal activities when you submit your application.

Then just mention it in the personal history.

Thank you for clearing that up.
