Filling IMM0008 For Parents Sponsorship- Immigration Office Requstd 4 Processing

Hi Folks

I had applied for my parents (presently in India) Sponsorship in 2010 Nov and finally got a letter in July 2014 that CIC is finally going to start the process and open the application. They have given me 90 days to respond with the forms in their checklist (0008, 5406,Police Clearance etc) or else they will assume that I am no more interested in Sponsoring my Parents.

While filling up the Form IMM0008 there is a question: "Immigration Office Requested For Processing this Application" Question 4 Page 1. I am confused on what to enter in this. The letter received with the checklist says that all the completed forms need to be submitted to CPC- Mississauga but I also read somewhere that this place is not the "Immigration office requested for Processing". What information should I enter in this field. Will it be the immigration office in New Delhi India as my parents are presently in India or something else ?

My Parents are also planning to come to Canada on visitor visa in March 2015 so in that case will it be good to enter something in Canada for processing the file as they will be here and will it make the process faster.

You should enter New Delhi, India in that column as your parents are residing in India.

Even though you have to send the documents to CPC-M, they would first process it and then send it to the respective office (New Delhi, in your parent's case). Even if your parents come to Canada, the documents would be processes where they are normally resident. Since they would be "visitors" of Canada and not "residents", you cannot select "something in Canada". In any case, for Parent Sponsorship, there is no "in-Canada" center to process the PR portion of the application.
