Filling application under 67 points

There is a widely believed myth out there that if an applicant applied showing less than 67 points on the initial application, they may not get points later for their updated credentials and work experience.

I think its absolutely baseless perception and there is not practicality in it. If it were true, visa office would never ask applicants to send their updated education and work credentials before starting to process an application.

For your application to be considered, you must show you have the necessary funds and meet the minimum requirement of at least one year of full-time (or full-time equivalent), paid work experience. This experience must:
• have occurred in the past 10 years
• be in Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupation Classification (NOC).

The above is extracted from the pdf available on CIC website as a guide for skilled workers application. It states clearly that the applicant must meet the MINIMUM REQUIREMENT at the time they submit the application. The Minimum requirement is explained as at least one year full time work experience that has occured in last ten years time, the skill must be listed on the skill lists posted on the CIC website and the minimum funds.
Applications bearing less than the minimum requirement swill simply not be even registered.CIC does not register an application unless they are sure that the application meets the minimum criteria. There are thousands of people out there who updated their education and work experience credentials a year or two after the submition of initial application and they were finally granted PRC under skilled worker category on base of the points they got after they updated their work experience and education credentials during the process. The same opinion hold most of CIC registered counselors.
I hope it makes crystal clear to everyone who has already applied and who are going to apply under Skilled Worker category.

Cheers!
