filipinos who applied TWP outside of Philippines? are we allowed to exit?

Hi guys,

Just a query.. Anybody or any filipino who applied outside of the Phils for twp? Once visa is approved and stamped, are we able to go back to Phils and make our way from there to Canada?

My visa is to be issued here in Singapore? Do we have to go to POLO? I heard different procedures from different people and really dont know which to follow.

Can anyone share their experiences?

Hi,

I applied my TFW when I was in London and I don't need to go back to the Phils. for that, if you applied in the Canadian Embassy in Singapore for the Visa you just booked your ticket and come to Canada without a problem. I never had any issue in the airport, I just showed them my TRV and Im good to go.

you mean I can still go back to Philippines after my visa is stamped on my passport?

I heard there are cases where they dont allow you to go as you have to be properly documented in POEA AND POLO?

if its not going to be a problem then its good.

I never went to POEA or POLO, I was a student when I went to UK. I applied TFW last 2011 in LOndon Canadian Embassy.

After they approved my visa I booked my ticket and went to Heathrow Airport. I think you need POEA and all those kind of thinngs if u applied in Manila Office. But still asked some people here. As for my case, no issue at all.

I think if your flight is from Manila to Canada I think you need to deal with POEA and PDOS.. if outside Phils. like me from London to Canada...The answer is no.

Just called up the Philippine Embassy in SG, they say i am still able to go back to Phils and return again in SG as long as I have an existing working pass in SG.

Good to hear this procedure. But still im skeptical. U know how hard they can be sometimes in the Philippines ayt?

YES, absolutely you can BUT if I were you, I rather fly straight to Canada. Otherwise, you have to satisfy airport officers in the Phils that you have to finish your work contract back in SG. Just give it a careful thought and get spared with POLO requirements.
