FILIPINO NURSES applying for CRNM registration (English and Tagalog)

Hi,

I'm a RN from the philippines with 4 years in Physical Therapy and has more than 2 years of hospital experience in the philippines and in the Middle-East. I arrived last April 1st and still waiting for my IQAS assessment.

CRNM just recently changed their IELTs acceptance Band score (July 1, 2011). so to those who are applying for Registration you might want to take a look at this website to see if you meet their IELTS band score. They only accept Academic IELTS. TOEFL and MELAB are no longer accepted in Manitoba as of July 1, 2011. here is the site http://cms.tng-secure.com/file_download.php?fFile_id=186.

wow in 3 months time may visa ka na, ano yong sponsorship approval mo kabayan? ibig sabihin ba nun may sponsor ka sa Canada or may job offer ka na? tnx

Ang website to apply for nurse aide /assistant ay sa winnipeg reginal health autority lahat ng hospital meron sila. If you want to healthcare aide for the meantime you need to have a Child Abuse certificate and Security Check certificate before you can proceed.

one of the requirements ba to apply sa CRNM is nursing experience during last 4 or 5yrs?!? what if di na ako nag work since 2006?!? ayoko na mag bridging program.... pls inspire me to continue my nursing career.

It is one of the requirement for verification of Practice Hours but it doesn't necessarily means na kailangan mong magbridging program. In the case that they find na hindi enough yung docs na binigay mo they will require you to do CCA or Clinical Competence Assessment first, for now walang bayad ito. Ang CCA ay tumatagal ng 3-5 days then they will evaluate you again. You can include letter what you did for the last five years but still include your Practice hours from previous employer and let's see what they have to say. Nagchange ka ba ng work mo since 2006, if you don't mind me asking?

Gusto ko sana mag work as nurse once nag migrate na kme sa Canada next yr. we'll do the landing next month & return to US after 2wks stay sa canada. meron bang nursing work sa canada w/o taking the exam?!? need to take the IELTS pa dba. buti pa nga NCLEX e madali ang requirements.

No you can't work as Nurse here unless your Registered. Pag nagregister ka na sa CRNM you can apply as Graduate nurse while waiting for the their assesment if you are eligible to write the exam. Regarding IELTS nagchange na sila kaya mas mataas ang requirement nila. kaya nga eh mas madali ang requirements sa NCLEX kumpara sa Canadian Registration. You can work as nurse assistant/aide or Homecare Attendant for the meantime.

I guess everyone now goes for Clinical Competency Assessment before given eligibility. that means if you dont pass it, u go bridging.

kahit wala ka experience pwede ka mag-apply sa CRNM. However, u will surely take the competency exam. Everybody does, starting last year nung naghigpit CRNM.

Sa pagkakaalam ko pwede kasi may mga case din naman n Nagpapregister kahit kagagaraduate pa lang ng nursing. You can apply then wait mo n lang kung ano ang assessment nila most probably dahil wala kang experience sa nursing baka pakuhanin k ng CCA or Clinical Competence Assessment bale irerefer ka nila sa Health Sciences Hospital dito sa Winnipeg to do CCA (This takes 3-5 days).

Yes, pwede, you will be given an asessment to take the Competency exam for 4days. Just prepare for it para mapasa mo at u can apply for crne exam.
