Hi guys, what happen when your safe practice expires and you still haven't pass your IELTS? Are we gonna go back to the same process of registration? I am very desperate about my IELTS which I haven't got for two chances and my safe practice gonna expire next year. With regards to CELBAN, the very earliest time possible to take will be on June 2014. Hopelessness strikes on me. :( :( :(

this is a must!: PLEASE DON'T THINK THAT IELTS IN THE PHILS. IS EASIER OR the opposite. Standards are set, and are the same wherever.

Contrary to the belief of many;

1. You don't need rare/impressive words: ''write to express not to impress"
2. "Clear flow" or an easy to follow essay makes all the difference.
3. Practice based on quality, not quantity: it doesn't matter how many essays you write, it's the quality.
4. Make your grammar close to perfect: I am not that good on this one, but i got an 8...(my grammar is based on "hearing") pag medyo d magandang pakinggan, I wud think mali ung grammar...
5.Practice Inversion:
Ex: "The time has never been more opportune to consider alternative energy sources.
Inversion: Never has the time been more opportune to consider alternative energy sources.
....and a lot more...
6. Don't make your essay too personal.

TIP: first goal is quality, never mind the time, only then you could do more essays, and focus on time management....
finally, have someone check your work.....
PM me for tips....

malaking halaga na rin nawala sa akin because of this exam, wala akong choice kasi mg expire na ung safe practice ko,going back to school for a long period is not an option...ngpa private tutor ako, etc.aside sa online tutorial services that i enrolled myself into....
technical ung ielts writing, there is a pattern that should be followed, sabi nga ng tutor ko na ex examiner;
"this is the KEY, i will hand u d key but it will be ur job to open the door"
the examiners will notice this 'pattern' once they start reading ur work....he further said, its more like a CODE....

guys, it wont make sense na mg take lng ng mg take without going for a professional advice or something like that...u r wasting money,wake up!

mg invest din pg may time para TAKE ONE LANG....

* always: PLEASE be conscious with ur grammar din kahit dito sa forum, although this is an informal form of communication, may iba na talagang halata ung common grammar mistakes and then one would think "kaya pala"....remember, 7 ung target natin, " HAS OPERATIONAL COMMAND OF THE LANGUAGE, THOUGH WITH OCCASIONAL INACCURACIES, INAPPROPRIACIES AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS IN SOME SITUATIONS"....
in short dapat kahit grammar ay seldom lng ung mistakes....in the ielts exam, it's okay to have grammatical errors as long as complex or mahirap ung sentence pattern pero kng kahit sa basic pattern medyo mali na, this gives an impression na mababa pa talaga ung level sa writing....

IELTS every where is the same standard. Take it from me, i took my first in Saudi Arabia, then another in Pinas and the latest in Bahrain. (Reason for retaking - expired, but my score consistent). Self review. Just needs a lot of decipline (2hours a day self review for 2 months).

Having an adviser/coach is also fine if you feel you really need it and having difficulty in one of the areas in the exam. Lecter is right, don't take a chance if you feel in doubt of your current capability, well of course if you have $$ :)

God bless

This is my first time na mag post dito sa tread na to...so please bear with me...I'm waiting for my visa for PR.I am an RN but don't have lots of hospital experience. as I have read sa mga posts dito tsaka sa ibang forums, madami ang nag ttake ng RPN assessment before mag RN. Ang tanong ko po, is there a way to avoid taking the bridging course. Kasi I am almost sure na ppakuhain ako ng ganun. any input would be appreciated. thanks.

If your safe nursing practice is already 3 years ago for sure mag bi bridging ka... While you're on the Phil why don't you apply as Volunteer kasi tinanong namin sa CNO yan dati counted parin siya as safe nursing practice mo para pagdating mo dito you still have 3 years para ma complete requirements ng cno and it's up to you if you want rpn muna kasi mas madali assessment dun then apply kana din for rn...kami kasi ni wife sabay naming inaply rpn at rn...
